Emily Mirengoff writes adult literary fiction centering the lives and experiences of women. (If there were such a thing as a reverse Bechdel test, her stories would fail it.) Her current project, an epic novel, covers three generations of French Jews living in Iran in the 20th century; it is inspired by her own family.
She is a Fiction Editor for TriQuarterly; she’s also read for Electric Literature, Ruminate, and the Center for Fiction. She has attended the Bread Loaf Writers Conference and the Kenyon Review Writers Conference. She earned her Bachelor’s in History from Dartmouth College and her Master’s in Communication from the University of Miami. She is an ardent traveler, singer, reader, and drinker of tea. She lives outside of Washington, D.C. with her husband and young daughter.
She is represented by Maggie Cooper of Aevitas Creative Management.
